THE SENJU CLAN

Clan Description: One of the first and most revered clans of the Grass Country, the Senju Clan is often regarded as "sacred" and its members are viewed as otherworldly. The Senju Clan is known for its members' longevity and life force. They have been innately blessed by the Great Sage of Chakra with special techniques, having specifically been designated as the care takers and overseers for the Bijuu in order to keep harmony amongst the world.

Clan Traits: Members of the Senju Clan appear more youthful than others might at their age, and they are blessed with silky, straight hair that is traditionally grown out past the shoulders. Male member's names typically end in "-ma". They normally have either hazel or green eyes as well as a leaner body frame. This is rumored to be because of the gift of the Great Sage, which prevents the bodies of the Senju clan from becoming too stocky and instead keeps them lithe.

Clan History: After having met the rest of the clan heads and granting them the abilities and knowledge of chakra, the Great Sage of Chakra descended upon the first Senju. The gift of longevity was more than enough at first, but upon seeing the sprouts of new life at their feet, the Sage decided to utilize this person as a failsafe for the Bijuu. Having brought the tailed beasts with him, the Sage explained their purpose and their natures, leaving the Senju with a wealth of knowledge and abilities to contain them if the beasts ever began a rampage. Clan Structure: Where most clans follow a clan leader. The Senju clan instead has a council of elders who decide the fate and direction of the clan. These elders then act through the 'Clan Head' whom they speak through. This Clan Head is the only one allowed to maintain contact with the Clan Elders and he is expected to enforce their decisions without hesitation. Clan Elders are usually the previous leaders of the clan and when a clan head ascends, a new clan head is chosen."

CLAN TRAIT | POWER OF LIFE FORCE AND CHAKRA

The Senju clan have what might be called a 'talent' for vitality. Indeed many of their opponents have simply refer to it as the Senju being 'too stubborn to die.' Members of the Senju clan are capable not only of expanding more chakra than others, but also enduring their exhaustion to a point well beyond other Shinobi, almost as if their very chakra gives them life itself

Rare among genetic traits available to this clan, few select Senju possess a chakra and life force so potent that they area capable of converting their very elemental natures into the growth of life itself. These members of the Senju clan have the ability of the manipulation of the advanced element Wood Release or "Mokuton". By converting chakra into the source of life, Senju are able to create trees, cause them to grow to great sizes, and manipulate them to diverse shapes and battle uses at will.

Important Note: The Bloodline ability of the Senju Clan follow two distinct but separate paths. If a Senju is made they may either possess the Mokuton Advanced Element or the Increased Chakra Capacity.

Mokuton | Wood Release: Like the other Advanced Element Kekkei Genkai, Wood Release is a combination of a present Earth Nature and Water Nature in the Senju. Simply put Mokuton allows the user to create the life energy to grow the trees by combining their two base elemnts. At the name implies the user can create wood be it from the environment around them or from their body's themselves. Wood release techniques can produce either simple basic constructs or very advanced ornate structures depending on the skill of the user.
Extensive Chakra Reserves: Perhaps as a trademark of their exceptionally strong Chakra, most of the Senju clan either possess the ability to use Wood Release or a high degree of chakra reserves As a result of this they are capable of possessing gaining and using more chakra than other Shinobi.
Self-Sustaining: The only shared trait between the 'split' of the Senju clan, regardless of which trait a Senju clan member posseses [Either the Mokuton or the Increased Life Force] they are capable of existing on pure chakra alone. This is to say that in theory a skilled enough Senju may never need to eat or drink as long as they possess enough chakra to continue bolstering themselves.
Tailed Beast Suppression: Although a better kept secret of the Clan within the Wood Release Chakra Nature there also exists a hidden power to suppress or absorb chakra. It is this ability that allows the most skilled of Mokuton users to reign in the powers of the tailed beasts.
Unrelenting Life Force: For the average shinobi, expending too much chakra without rest can be dangerous. A shinobi can be rendered unconscious or, even worse, they can die from extreme chakra exhaustion. Senju clan members are able to whittle their chakra reserves down much more before feeling the effects, and using up their reserves will only render them unconscious for longer periods without killing them.

[b>Description:[/b] Those who possess the special Senju Life Force are known to be able to expend chakra without fear of death. Any Senju with this trait will begin to feel exhaustion if they go below 10% of their total chakra capacity, and if they expend all of their chakra they will be rendered unconscious - however, total chakra exhaustion will not kill them, giving them greater survivability in extended combat situations.
