THE KAGUYA CLAN

Clan Description: Being forged in an era of war and intolerance, the Kaguya were taught to kill even at a very early age which made them merciless killers as they reached maturity. They are taught not to show signs of fear nor mercy in the heat of battle. The clansmen of the Kaguya demonstrate tremendous taijutsu skills combined with equally impressive speed, agility, and dexterity that allows them to employ their ability to manipulate the strength and growth of bones to become deadly combatants.


Clan Traits: Members of the Kaguya clan have pale skin and pure white hair. They usually wear their hair shoulder length and sometimes wrapped in a lose fitted pony tail in the middle of their backs. They have been known to wear red tubular hair ornaments in their hair and possess two red dots on their body symbolizing their clan. Their eyes are perfect emerald green and they wear red markings around their eyelids. Since clansmen have been trained since birth to kill, the Kaguya have very athletic and disciplined bodies. For an attire they wear a white lose fitted long sleeved shirt, black sweatpants and ninja sandals. Each person adds their own accessories into the wardrobe but their theme tends to stay consistent.

Clan History: The origin's of the Kaguya clan are a bit of a mystery even amongst the clan themselves. Their violent history leads to a difficulty in tracking their origins or family lines, but many members of the clan hold belief that they are the direct descendants of a mother-like deity from the moon itself. Their Moon Goddess demands worship and blood possibly attributing to the clan's violent temperament.

Clan Structure: The Kaguya clan is a predominantly Matriarchal Kraterocracy. Perhaps stemming from their very violent origins the Kaguya worship strength of combat above all else. While it is true that within the clan it is widely accepted that females are the superior of the sexes, the only true determinate of a Kaguya's worth is their ability to defeat their opponents. A refusal to back down from a fight means that most conflicts within the clan end in the death of one or both combatants. Their prideful and generally bloodthirsty nature means that the head of the clan is always determined by a fight to the death. There is no natural line of succession from a clan leader and thus no heir in the traditional sense. Offspring of the clan leader is expected to fight their way to status just like everyone else.

Naturally their 'might is right' rule leads to those who refuse combat to be ostracized from the clan. This generally results in death before exile as those viewed as cowards are often hunted for sport.

KEKKEI GENKAI | SHIKOTSUMYAKU

Shikotsumyaku is a Bloodline Trait that is unique even among the Kaguya clan. Possesion of the bloodline trait is inherently rare and is not something every Kaguya may possess.
Progeny of the Moon Goddess: Those who possess the Shikotsumyaku Bloodline Trait in simplest terms have the ability to manipulate the growth of their bones to perform powerful taijutsu oriented techniques. Given the rarity of the Bloodline trait possessors are revered amongst other members of the Kaguya Clan.

Progeny have three ways to manifest their bloodline trait.
Growth: The most easilly apartent is their ability to manipulate the growth of their skeletal structure. Using any bone in their body as a base they can apply Chakra and stimulate the growth to allow the bone to protrude from the skin. From there it is most common for the user to grab and remove them [by ending the growth] for use as weapons or to leave them distended from the skin as a means of offensive protectorate.

Typically these bones are functionally and visually identital to bones in the body and share a similar make-up and are used as weapons or to enhance their taijutsu skills. That said, possessors of this bloodline can also apply their ability to grow more specialized bones that have no direct parallels to the normal skeletal structure. It is not uncommon for members of the clan to use this ability to produce instruments or ornaments from their bones. This also allows them to create large masses of unique bone structures for use in techniques.

In regards to techniques bloodline manipulation requires no hand seals, however the speed of the growth is tied directly to the difficulty of a technique. A low or minimal difficulty technique will grow almost instantly where as an intensive or massive difficulty might grow quite slowly.

Destruction: To grow their skeletal structure is one thing, but to be truly effective they must also be able to control the process in that breaks down the bones in the body. This allows them to end growth and even cause a bone in their body to instantly deteriorate. This is most commonly used to remove bones that have been forced to grow.

Density: Perhaps the most subtle aspect of their Bloodline Trait. They can also manipulate the density of their bones through the application of chakra. This allows for them not only to make their bones harder but also for them to make their bones more brittle and flexible. This manipulation is most often used to create the bladed tips of bones or various weapons based from the bone.
